can someone tell me the cause of interference on home cinema set ups?

people talk about good equipment racks etc but will this allieviate the problem?

if i put front surround sound speakers next to a blu ray player and an xbox will this cause interference?

any help/knowledge on this topic would be great thanks

1. Good equipment racks get rid of interference by stopping unneeded vibrations.

2. A known cause of interference in home cinema set ups is cable spaghetti. Try to avoid cables crossing each other to stop this problem.

3. Your speakers should not interfere with your Xbox or BD player.ÿ

IMHO a rack will do little to eliminate interference. You need good quality cables, you need to eliminate the spaghetti as has been mentioned and you need a good signal strength for your TV aerial input or cable input depending on what source you use.

That said it's unwise to pile your equipment on top of each other. A good rack will allow you to route and control your cables better and provide a stable platform for all your gear so it's a must have anyway.

thats fair enough but if all the wires are routed to a centre point in the stand/rack isnt that going to make it worse?

hdmi cables and an optical would be all i would be using.

i would have a centre speaker next to some equipment but if that wont be a problem then everything should be ok.
