interconnect/ speaker cable advice?

i have a pc based music setup, and have recently upgraded my soundcard (to creative x-fi xtreme music), and speakers (to audioengine a5).

now i am looking for some suitable interconnects/ speaker cable to get the best out of my system. dont want to spend too much as the word 'overkill' springs to mind!

any suggestions?

Well, what set up are you going to be running? an amp? or powered speakers? how many speakers? more info is really required.

the 2 powered speakers are connected direct to the soundcard. i will be playing music that has been ripped onto my computer, mostly.

so really im looking for some good budget speaker cable and a mini jack (3.5mm) to mini jack lead.

...im thinking i cant go far wrong with a QED silver XT for speaker cable. but still stuck on the minijack lead! something around the same price range? is it even worth upgrading from the lead bundled with my A5's?
