Installing music on iPod Touch

What is the best way load and play hi res music on the new iPod? I have several Flac files on my computer.

According to the specs the new iPod Touch can natively play FLAC files. I may be wrong but this could be the first Apple device with that capability.

Depending on the computer you have you may need additional software. I don't know if the iPod Touch 8th Generation will show up in a Windows PC. If it does support drag and drop all you need is to use that method to move files. If it doesn't work, you have to install iTunes for Windows.
On a Mac running Catalina or Big Sur you use the Finder to transfer files.

On a Mac running Mojave or earlier you need iTunes to transfer files. You probably have to transcode them from FLAC to ALAC (Apple Lossless) first for this to work in iTunes.
