I've got an InFocus IN82 projector with a BluRay player and Sky HD Box providing the inputs to my Onkyo PR-SC886 processor. There is a 10 meter run to the projector and a 3 meter run to the tv. I was expeience complete picture loss intermittently but replacing my older HDMI leads wiht a new 10meter Chord Active Silver Plus 1.3b with a booster at the projector side seems to have sorted this.
Another problem (again intermittent) has returned. Sometimes the image on the right hand side of the screen has a pink tint to it. The change in colour is clearly defined about half way across the screen and from that "line" to the right side of the screen the tint is obvious. It happens on both blu ray and sky hd. Last night it occurred while watching sky - I disconnected the projector from the Onkyo and plugged it directly into the sky box. This didn't solve the problem, the pink tint was still there. I tried viewing the pic on the TV (40" Sony) and there was no pink tint visible. Usually it will not be present next time I use the projector. I've contacted InFocus and they haven't come up with a solution yet.
Has anyone had similar experiences and if so how did you resolve it? Is there a fault with the projector or is it something to do with the length of the HDMI cable?
