In search of some nice floorstanders

Iam looking for some new floorstanders and dac for my recent buy: Apple Tv + Ipod Touch.

I want to use apple tv to sync my Itunes to my stereo and my Ipod Touch as Remote.

Now I want to add speakers, amp, dac

My budget is 1,500 pounds for speakers, amp, dac

Does (a) have an opinion on the finish and size of speakers?

Do the speakers have to match (b).

Oh yeah, how big is the room and what sort of typical volume levels do you enjoy?

the room is not very big, 4 mtr by 5 mtr (Iam from Europe so don't know the feets)

I think big floorstanders will not sound very nice i such a small room, but is saw some nice small floorstanders, like the neat motive, monitor audiorx6 and totem arro.

I play at mid level volume I have neighbours, but in the weekend I want to party, with load rock and dance music
