In ceiling speakers?

Can in-ceiling speakers be Hi-Fi? I'm considering them for a new kitchen that is in the planning stage. Good idea or not?

Could try Neat Iotas on their wall brackets ON rather than IN the ceiling.

Diolch Trefor, I'll give them some thought. I currently have some small wall mounted Missions (can't remember which model), but in the new kitchen I want to maximise storage space so i can't really find space for wall mounting.
