in ceiling speakers-the options!

have a choice between monitor audio vector 5.1 package or an in-ceiling monitor audio C165 package.Either will be combined with a yamaha rxv765 amp.Any ideas which is the better option?

You could look at Kef C1's they are ceiling mounters.

The C165 range is a match for the BR or Radius range.

When you say a "C165 package" - what combination of speakers are you talking about 5xC165 + Sub (which?). I assume the Vector package is 1xV20, 4xV10 + a VW8 sub?

Sorry but I don't understand the comparison as they're entirely different options. If you want in-ceiling speakers, would it not be better to look exclusively at in-ceiling options and try to get a demo or at the very least speak to an installer? Again, if you want compact speakers, then get some demos of various ones and go with the one that meets your requirements for use with your chosen receiver.

I have the option of 5xC165 and a monitor VW8 sub or 4xC165s and a normal freestanding monitor centre speaker.The vector pack is the one you mentioned above.Im re-decorating the living room and Im being offered both systems for roughly the same price but have little experience with in-ceiling speakers so looking for as much advice as possible!

I am redecorating the house so Ive the option to go for either both packages are being offered for roughly the same price.Im looking for peoples views on both packages as I cant get a demo of the in-ceiling speakers and I dont just want to go on the installers word
