Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend a fairly decent pair of in ceiling speakers for use in a bathroom?

They obviously need to be moisture and dust resistant, and give a good sound (clarity, a bit of bass without being boomy, and decent stereo seperation) in a small room. They will be hooked up to a Sonos ZP120 for amplification, and the budget is up to £400 the pair.

Any suggestion, tips or personal experiences are welcome...

Depending on the size of your bathroom you could just opt for any inceiling speaker. I find that most of the speakers desgined for bathrrom use have the sound engineered out of them.

I have used Kef CI160QR's in my bathroom previously and now use Dali Kompass ( a different house) both on the end of a ZP120. No issues with performance - the kefs were in for nearly three years. The amount of bass will depend on the ceiling void but even in big loft spaces with no back box you can get a good quality of sound - certainly enough to drown out the shower - sorry for the pun!

I've listened to NHT in-ceiling speakers, particularly its largest model (8 inch woofer i think).

it has 3 tweeters per channel to even out the sound distribution and it does sound good pretty much anywhere you stand. obviously it's not for critical listening but it works and i like the sound.

for about USD 300-400 per pair i'd say it reminded me of my quad 11L.
