imac- noise level

I'm thinking of getting an imac as my new desktop machine as I like the simple look of it compared to my pc. I currently use the pc as my music storags- itunes & apple lossless into a CA DACMagic.

I am worried about the noise levels of the imac and wondered if anyone has one and can confirm how loud it is when running compared to a standard pc. I do have the option to use a silent tablet PC as my music thing but it looks a bit crappy!

I made the move from pc also and it has been absolutely amazing. I never thought my pc was loud until I heard how quite the imac is.

I also have the BOSE companion speakers and love them.

ÿI would suggest go for the 2.66GHZ with 4 gigs of ram but then order online and add the 1tb HD for extra £80. saves you in future having loads of external drives.ÿ
