I still haven't seen the LG OLED TV. Maybe I'll be lucky and win the WHF competition! After all my TV woes I feel I deserve it; but the same is true of BBB, Rocket, MrW, and countless others fighting with retailers and manufacturers over problem sets.

You're thinking that it might drop from £5,000 to £2,000?? Have you been at the Christmas sherry already?

At best I could admire the TV from afar. The odds of me winning the WHF competition are less than negligible.
The LG's clear base makes no sense at all and seems as much of a design flaw as the curved screen.* In the video you can see every cable running behind the TV.
* Both the curve and the clear base appear present to showcase technology -- the curve to call attention to OLED, the base to show off the speakers. It'd be a better TV without both design flourishes, in my opinion. I'd still have one, though...

I agree Gel, we got this tv into work last week, and I honestly feel it's the first set to take the crown from the last generation Kuro. Superb picture!
