I have blown a tweeter in one of my ar 94s, any suggestions as to where i might possibly be able to get a replacement or get this one fixed? i have tried a tweeter from a set of ar 18 but they just don't sound the same.

i was running these on a pioneer sa 8800

any suggestions welcomed.

thanks

what amp do you own? ...

very nice amp you have! ... this guy is very good and very cheap (Briarsfield Hi-Fi ) ... expert with the pioneers ... costs approx £130 for a full service/recap plus he changes the speaker terminals to plug connections

just read his site and he is not taking new work for a while ... contact him and find out when he will take new work again ... I have a few more good contacts if you get stuck

thanks for that can i try your other contacts as they are not doing any business at the moment?

ask one on the moderators to pass you my email address ... will pass you 3 very good contacts all based in the UK who are experts with the old silver Pioneers ...

I only have their email contacts and don't think It's allowed to post that here on the forum ...

This might sound daft but how do i ask the moderators to pass me your email address?

Hi i don't know if you are able to but you can contact me on ebay, same user name.

Sorry to hear that, hope you can get it fixed quickly.

Anecdotally, I contacted Paul @ Wembley Speakers well before Christmas regarding a 'service' and possible repair to my Monitor Audios. It took them about a month to really get back to me despite my many chasers and eventually I collected the speakers w/o any work done to them (still got charged for 1/2 hour labour, and one cabinet is slightly scratched as well) just last w/e. The replacement suggested (by MA's rep) was Focal and that came in at £200+. Hifi is not their speciality. Be aware. If Monitor Audio would be more responsive to my attempts at contacting I'd have rather them the speakers direct.... [/rant]
