I don’t think the KEF LS60 Wireless floorstanding speakers get enough credit – here's why

I felt the same way for a long time. However, Kef have failed to keep up with the times with regards to warranties. They are non transferable which kind of make these things unsellable. Who's going to buy them without a warranty when Kef charge through the nose for repairs and spare parts.

Kef and the industry need to rethink how they support active speakers otherwise they will never take off. They're just too much of a risk to own.

I was really close to buying these speakers when they were on sale (as a returned item) for 4000€. What held me off was the fact that they didn’t come with any driver protection, this is difficult with kids around. Also there is no surround sound support when used with your tv.

If KEF or someone else would make a driver protector for the LS60 and it would support (basic) surround sound then that would’ve gotten me over the edge.
