humax t2 vs sony bdp370

if anyone own these they will know they both offer mp3 playback via usb,

my question is do you think the humax will offer a better sound quality as it has the dolby pulse codec ansd the sony doesnt, just been reading the dolby site about pulse and i think its supposed to replicate signals to give a higher band width or something.

i know niether machine is really sutable for music playback but at the moment its all i have for playing downloaded mp3`s

I can't really answer but in your signature it looks like you have both? Can you just try listening to a couple of tracks to see which is best?

The 370 by all accounts plays SACD pretty well, so maybe it would have some better facility with the MP3s, despite the lack of the particular technology you mention.
