I wonder if you could share your opinions please....

I'm stuck deliberating on the purchase of a new TV...looking at either Sony KDL 46Z4500 or Samsung 46B7020.

However I also currently have a Humax Foxsat HDR cabled up to a satellite dish which I will be connecting to my new TV via HDMI

Therefore will my choice of TV as far as image and performance from SD and HD broadcasts be totally dependant on the Humax and therefore not be utilising any of the bells and whistles of the TV

I suppose what I'm saying is am I wasting my money on an expensive TV if the Humax is doing all the work..

Thanks in advance for your help...

I'm using the Foxsat HDR with the Sony 40W4500.

Compared with the Sony's built-in Freeview tuner the reception quality is stunning, particularly on BBC channels. I've said this elsewhere a couple of times, but my wife cannot see any difference between BBC HD and SD. Perhaps it's a girl thing or the fact she wears contact lenses!
