Hi, I have a Technics intergrated amplifier (9 years old) and wanted to use this as a pre amp. The proposed power amp that i want to connect this to is a cerwin vega cv900 power amp. Any ideas on how to go about this? ta.

If your Technics integrated amplifier has left and right pre-outs, then it's easy.

All you have to do is plug in interconnects into the left and right pre-outs of your Technics integrated amplifier, and plug those interconnects into the left and right in-puts of your proposed power amplifier.

In this way, your Technics will not be powering anything, except sending signals to the out-board power amplifier.

I will have to check if it has pre-outs, but i dont think so. If this is the case, is there any other way to do this? Ta

If it does not have any pre-outs, I do not know if it would be possible to use it as a pre-amplifier with an out-board power amplifier.

The only way that I know how to do it is if it has pre-outs.

Thanks for your advice Dan, Just checked the Technics amplifier a moment ago and i was right...no pre-outs at all. Has anyone else had this problem and managed to find a way round it?
