How to fit QED Airloc

I am looking to fit some QED Airloc terminals and wanted to know if i could fit them myself or if they had to be done by the store. Reason is i want to make sure the speaker cable is the right size for the room and not have lots left over all around the back of my system.

It remainds me this tool from old coaxial networking days. Not sure is this is the same diameter, but both of them do the same job.

Oh... I was looking at getting the wife one for Christmas.....maybe a bit of red ribbon or a sprig of holly???
