dave_k:What's the most i should pay for a good pair of these speakers?

I recently paid £28 (plus £15 UK delivery) for a boxed pair in superb condition in light wood finish.

Hi Chebby, I was hoping you would chip in as I'd noticed you've recently switched...

I'm trying to build up an inexpensive interim system and spotted a pair on the 'Bay but they're starting a £50 which i thought might be a little pricey :-(

Those on ebay right now are chipped, don't have the original box/packaging and are missing their protective metal tweeter grilles.

I don't think what I paid could have been a typical price (TBH I was never looking for a pair and they crossed my ebay radar by accident) I stuck a £30 bid on and won them. Bit flukey really.

So anyway, I am not an expert on their value. I just got lucky.

Out of interest Chebby, have you decided to swap to these permanently?

I love these fateful twists that save a stack of money. It's my theme of the month.

Thought I'd revive this very old thread, as I'm currently watching a pair of MS20is on ebay, and they're at nearly £100 with 5 hours left on the auction.

They're not even the Pearl Edition speakers, so I'm amazed at the price they've reached. Any ideas why?

I knew you'd like it Chebby, but I was watching some Pearl Editions a few weeks ago, and they finished around the £35 mark, so I 'm highly confused as to why an inferior speaker would go so much higher.

I'm back to using my Pearl Editions as rears.

Seems a lot but it was a great range of speakers. Sad when you think where Mordaunt-Short is now, being cast aside so that AP can focus on Cambridge Audio branded speakers.
