Thanks Rick. The Z2s are an eBay purchase for £30 so I'm quite content with the spend. It was important that my wife liked the design too, and these fit the bill.

Used Blue tak for years, tried various other methods, 95% of the time blue tak came out on top. The smaller the ball the better, about the size of a small frozen pea is about right, definitely no bigger. A good hard!!! press on the speaker for a 'thin contact'. To remove, twist the speaker through its vertical axis, never taken veneer off this way. Blue tak and loaded (filled) stands seem best, some unfilled stands/speakers combinations may benefit from more blue tak or spikes . . . thats the od 5% I've found stands made with round section tube work suprisingly well unfilled and 'small' pea blue tak linked??? I suspect resonances dont set up so easily in the natural rigidity of round section as opposed to flat section, flat area will tend to resonate more easily, as do the flat sides of a speaker cabinet ;) Food for thought. Hi all
I used to have a "blob" of bluetack about the size of a penny on each corner of my soundstyle z2 stands & BX2s until I read on this forum that other folks said that half a pea sized blob in each corner?.,Thought i would try, hell off a job getting off! I used a very sharp knife between BT and stand once off I slowly peeled the BT off of the bottom of speakers, they had no veneer damage.
I personally found quite a difference! I can only describe the sound as being more "airy"soundstage around the treble & mids, better seperation & suprisingly a slight tightening of bass.
Well worth the effort and costs nought!.

In which case, I see a gap in the market for my new product - Silver plated, OFC, braided core, shielded, directional, reference, bi-tack.
Will you be selling LH and RH packs together, or will you be cunningly selling them separately? Don't forget you also need to market a 'centre speaker' pack with six blobs, not four, for AV enthusiasts.

A man using his ears . . . :) You have described well, the benefits of a very small 'pea' of Blu-Tack in each corner . . . The only problem, the potential improvements can also find the weaknesses in a system, especially a woolly base induced by large blobs of Blu-Tack, this can hide a multitude of sins . . . ?
