Seen mixed reports just wondering does anyone know? I see the new Panasonic OLED has 800 nits.

How many do you want it to have?

How many would be optimum? (Don't want too many or it could blind you and/or incinerate the room!)

I saw a report on HD TV flat panels which said the new ones would have about more than a 1000 nits on the LG 2017 ones - that would be pretty impressive, especially if the new Panasonic OLED only had 800 nits.

On here now it's saying 25 per cent brighter, so depending on what the 2016 range had reports said 540 - 700 nits depending on which you believe. I suppose if the 540 nits was correct that would make 800 nits for the 2017 LG models.

I definitely think that the 2016 oled range had more than enough nits based on what I am experiencing with the Oppo 203 but anything more would be impressive.

They are saying 1000 nits the LG Oled TV in vivid mode and the Panasonic 800 nits. Yes!
