How far apart should the front L and R speakers be?

No i certainly don't have a soft spot for Clare Balding, i think she is by far the weakest link in the BBC presenting team at the olympics hense why i chose to do something else at the time she was on, I just find her dull and boring to listen to and watch.

Back to the subject in hand...the front speakers very nearly form an equalateral triangle but as they are now in the Dolby config they are each 3 feet away from the centre speaker which throws out the triangle slightly but only by 4-5 degrees which is minimal really. As they are situated now sounds best to my ears so they are staying in the Dolby config from now on.
