I noticed there were no user reviews link to the Denon AVR4310 review.
I would love to hear from some AVR4310 owners as to how the 2 channel stereo sound quality is compared perhaps to the Cambridge Audio and if possible, to the 650R.
I purchased the 650R as an replacement and multi channel upgrade for a still working and much loved 30 year old stereo amplifier.
Without much knowledge, experience or understanding, I chose the 650R because it delivers great 2 channel stereo sound or at least, stereo sound similar to that I was used to and like and since adding a small 5.1 satellite and sub surround speaker package probably delivers a good multi channel sound as well. I am just not able to judge.
HOWEVER I can't stand the problem 'issue' the 650R and I believe the 640R have deciding how to process audio over digital connections where the signal drops which is every time you change or scroll though TV channels when the input source is a PVR, in between audio and video files when the input source is a media player or when ever you use time shift, or just about any other time you use the PVR, media player or BD/DVD player remotes.
On top of that while the 650R has perhaps great audio pedigree and delivers great stereo sound, it has with hindsight, a lack of several useful standard features such as HDMI pass through for the PVR and up-scaling also useful for the PVR.
Anyway, as this Denon should deliver the better functionality and features which I find lacking in the 650R, I'd be very appreciative to hear form any AVR4310 owner what I might expect from 2 channel stereo sound.
