How do you know if you have clean or dirty electric

Thank you Andrew I have a Tacima lead, when fitted I did notice sound improvement but no picture gains,

i think its because some audiophiles belive it strangles or restricts the power to the amp that in turn afects the output of the amp in terms of power and changes the amps charicter.

Simply that I've found most amps sound better when powered this way, rather than via mains filters/conditioners.

should we be plugging our expensive amps into surge protectors, not direct into the wall sockets.
