Hello, I have recently been converting all my cds to wma lossless. I then ended up buying a sonos system for cheap and find out it doesn't support wma lossless. I have heard you can just convert the files without any loss to quality.

Could some tell me how to do this and will all the tags and album art stay in tact. Also will flac work in wmp as I would also like to access the music in windows media centre.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Its easy. You need to download a program called dbpoweramp (free to try for 21 days). Once downloaded, you need to download and install the WMA codec (codecs are on their website) and the FLAC codec, if not already installed with the main program.

Use the 'batch converter' facility and it will convert all your music effortlessley. Not sure how it deals with the album art though.

Tip: Before you convert all your music, try a couple of conversions on a few files to make sure you are happy with the converted file names, as it gives you lots of options on how you want to name the converted files, where you want to save them, and if you want to overwirte the originals (dont do this incase something goes wrong)

This program will let you convert from most file formats to other file formats.

Thanks for the help. While I was waiting for responses I downloaded foobar and am giving that a go, seems to be doing the job so far.I will see how I get on.

Foobar is doing it ok, It keeps the original copy aswell so I have a wma copy and a flac copy. All tags and art work is being copied aswell.
