How do i highlight a quote?

Sorry for my lack of computor literacy 😳

Can someone explain how to highlight a sentence in a post so as to quote said sentance(not whole post)?

There's no clever way to do it, use the quote link instead of reply, that'll quote the whole post and then you have to chop out the bits you don't want.

Well, that wasn't quite what I had in mind, people could get quite upset at that sort of thing but yes, you've got the gist of it.

Yes its not a very good system, some forums you can just highlight the words you want and then press quote but not here.
