I initially Bought a Cork mat to replace the Felt one which used to static itself to my records, but the Cork did not hold a record if it was at all bowed (Concave) I have one or two like this, so i thought I would have a go at making my own using non slip Matting. I used a Plate and craft knife on a cutting mat Started with a full size mat but thought a donut would work best with warped record. Don't think there is any acoustic difference with my modest TT, but it really grips the vinyl, you almost peel it off of the table. I gave it a coat of antistatic spray just to be safe.

Package it and put some stupid fancy name on it like Russ Andrews dose and you will make a fortune! haha

I spent £50 on a funk achromat thinking it was a soft rubber mat to go over my clangy metal platter. When it arrived it resembled a foam frisbee that my gran could bend out of shape
