Right, I have been thinking about what 5.1 speaker/receiver package to get for ages now and to be honest I need to get this decision made before it drives me mad!
I have £1000 to spend on these 2 items. My room is about 4m x 5m, viewing distance 3.5m, I only really watch movies and thus am not too fussed about musical abilities (although of course, it would be nice!). Any suggestions of a system that I could be proud of would be much, much, much appreciated and perhaps stop my head exploding with thoughts of different set-ups!
Demo'd a 606 with 2005.3s a couple of weeks ago but it didn't really blow me away like I though it would.

Also, where does the Sony 2400 fit in? What is its competition if it can be had for £370?, as an aside...
