High pitched whine from Sony BDP-S570

I am getting an intermittent high pitched whine from my blu ray player and was wandering if anyone else had this same issue? I will be returning it to Richer Sounds as it is only a few months old and the noise is really very annoying! It's quite loud and comes and goes while watching a film, but the pitch of the whine cuts right through the audio from my speakers. I may ask nicely and see if they'll let me swap the player for an upgrade (paying the difference of course)...

Doesn't sound right at all. There was a slight whine from mine when i first turned it on after buying it, but it disappeared as soon as it "warmed up" and haven't heard a peep out of it since.

Would certainly recommend you ask them to sort it out for you.
