As a newcomer to home cinema and multi-room I have a number of questions relating to ssetting up my home cinema and audio system.

As you can see I have used advice from What HiFi and am fortunate enough to have a good budget.

I have just purchased my first home cinema system with the following components:

TV - Pioneer PDP 428, BLU RAY DVD - Pioneer BDP LX70A, DVD Recorder Pioneer DVR LX70D, Amp - Denon AVR 4308, Speakers- Monitor Audio RS6AV

In my L-shaped living room the home cinema will be in one area and hifi in the other part of the room.

My question is how do I best use the equipment I have bought along with what I already have by way of Hifidelio Pro, stereo amp Arcam Alpha 9 and Cyrus DAC X . I alos want to run mult room audio and would ideally like to use the Hifidelio as one source of audio along with the DVR and potentially my home PC.

Would I be better setting up the hifi seperately or connecting via the Denon, either directly or via a stereo amp via pre-outs.

Ideally I would want the control of being able to easily select audion in the areas required (as with Sonos), have audiophile music available purely for listening pleasure, and maximise my investment.

I would also be grateful for advice on connecting everything up, again to maximise my options.

I am currently working out the infrastructure for cabling etc so that I give myself options for the future.

Very grateful for help.

I don't know how the multi room works with those clever receivers but definitely have your front two RS6s for music connected to your Arcam. You can link the Arcam to your Denon and have music through the Arcam only and then it just needs to be switched on with your receiver when you want 5.1. I have this with my RS6s and it's great.
