What was I listening for?

The fact they design the products to be repaired by customers? That’s a cool idea. Beyond that, the rest just sounded like niche implementation of very well-known circuit designs.

That was the part I was referring to. Just remember that even your once British brand components are now made in China. And my local service for Denon, Marantz, everything really is appalling. There's one distributor here for all major brands from low to high end, and their service department is clueless.

LAIV needs to be applauded in my view.

It's actually about the 6 minutes from around 37:00-43:xx, during which he describes his experience with, and learning from/about LAiV when his Harmony went down. Interesting, impressive engineering design and practice indeed.
