What about the tacima mains conditioner extension lead. What hifi thinks it's the best £40 you can spend

I have one. It has 6 sockets and surge protection which I find handy. Apart from that it sounds just like any other mains extension cable.

I wouldn't get another because you can get a 6 socket surge protected extension cable for £10 which will sound exactly the same.

They make them up because the whole point of the magazine is to maintain the hifi myth to sell copies.

i have one too...cant say i noticed any more 'air' around instruments..but..had a power surge the other day..saved my kit! Worth £40...

I think you'll find the whole point is actually to keep the number of readers up so they can sell advertising space in the magazine, which is where the real money is.
