Yup, the guy always hated KEF speakers, and now makes an abrupt turn and loves them. There must have been a cash envelope from KEF "marketing" in the box along with the speakers...

Either way, Zero Fidelity guy has lost all credibility.

Not enough.

My main genres are Jazz, Hip Hop and Metal with perhaps 20% classical and spoken word/radio and TV.

I have a mid sized listening room in an old Mansion which has been converted to flats so my listening levels are not super high but even so the Actives fully energise the room with full and deep nice sound. Better than my previous system? I don't know, it's all subjective but I don't have much to criticise (other than Kef's software but I even got used to that).

I would certainly recommend them but realise they are not for everyone.

As an add-on, with gen 1 LS50W's now having dropped in price I would probably purchase one of those and add Kef's new 'Super Sub' for what is probably an awesome and compact true full range system rather than buying the new Meta Actives at full price.

Alternatively I saw on another thread that B&W's Foundation can be had for under £3000 incl. Stands.
