Hi, I've been given the task of sorting the sound out in the studio where I work. The boss is after a speaker system where you can control 'zones'. He mentioned possibly WiFi speakers and Bose in the same sentence.

The space is quite large with triple high ceilings. 20m(long) x 10m(wide) x 8m(high). Bit like a large pub.

How many speakers would work in that space? One in each corner (4) or maybe three down one long side and three along the other (6)?

How hight from the ground? There is a split level around the circumference of the area so could be mounted there...?

We currently run Spotify from a Mac plugged into a Stereo that has two speakers with very long cables.

May possibly need the ability to add speakers/zones so the sound could be fed through to reception.

Lots of questions, I know, so any feedback greatly appreciated.

There may be some around on the forum with experience with those kinds of setups, but those installations are usually a bit different from the stereo hifis or even home cinema systems most of use are familiar with.

I guess you'd want something like

http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/professional/systems/index.jsp

I'm sure Yamaha and others also provide solutions. These are probably preferable to trying to make a home stereo or surround system work in a manner it wasn't really designed for.
