I've just come across a (what i thought) great deal for a QE65Q8FN European version Sammy TV for 920 EUR (roughly 960$)
The unit was returned/refurbished so it's not 100% brand new but the only thing with it is that the box has some scuff marks (is what the company is saying). This is bought through a major online retailer here so I have no reason to doubt it.
It's due to arrive Tuesday but now after researching some more I found 2 things that cause concern...
It seems the EU variant is EDGE LIT and not FALD
I'm worried as to what firmware it may come with (as far as i've understood anything over 1202 is nerfing the line-up and is irreversible)
Can you please advise if this is still a good deal or not? Should i return it and scrape 400 EUR more for a Q80R? Would the firmware be truly important?
