Help with matching Amps

Hi all,

I have a Counterpoint SA 1000 pre amp, and am looking to match it with a power amp. I welcome ideas on what Power amps might be a good match for this.

Looks like it doesn't take balanced inputs or outputs, that's the only restriction really. As for which power amp would suit best, that really depends on what speakers you have, and what kind of sound you are looking for

Thanks for your response. A complete oversight on my part to not include those factors.

I plan to use with this combination my B&W 601 from early 2000s, and/or early TDL Near Field Monitors, although my previous Counterpoint pre & power has been driving a set of TDL floor standing speakers from the 90's (I just can't remember the model).

I plan to use this new set up in a small study/ home office and will be used with a Linn Basik turntable, and Arcam CD player, ecosse interconnects, and Chord speaker cable. I largely listen to Jazz of either the 60's or modern European Jazz and look for a calm, open sound one that I can listen to for long periods without fatigue, or without it demanding my attention.

Hope this gives some idea of where I want to go.
