Hi guys my niece has put a password on, but can't remember it, is there anyway of solving it. Third generation one I think.

Cheers.

Just found it on the internet - recovery mode via iTunes.

Cheers.

Hi

I have just got the Ipod touch and it says Ipod is disabled, connect to itunes, when I do that though, it says password required. Any ideas what I do now guys? I cant seem to get it working.

Ah you have to press on home button on the iPod too. Well I have rebooted it but I have lost all her music - oops!

Cheers.

Bit late now, but did it have a camera? Some software versions had a pretty major glitch in the software, you could open the camera in the lock screen, press the photo stream button and bypass the password 😳

That seems like a fair trade for forgetting the password 😉

I think she had a lot of music on it, oh well.

She probably has all that music on her laptop/pc/mac too since it syncs with iTunes. No big deal, it'll just take some time to put it back on the pod.

I 've downloaded her some Guns n Roses - thats better than One Direction.

Hope so - cheers for that.

Hi guys, my other niece has done exactly the same now and forgot her password (flipping muppets), and I am in charge of fixing it again. Niece two has the iPod touch 4th generation one, and I have tried several times to fix it now but with no luck. It keeps coming up with error 3194. I am also having problems getting it to talk with my laptop, it won't show up devices. Any ideas here? Cheers.

I seem to be getting somewhere - at last! Fixed it.

Cheers again.

Maybe they shouldn't have passcodes? 😛

I don't passcode my phone. I don't keep sensitive data on it so if it gets nicked , its gone anyway who cares. Your 3rd and 4th gen iPods can have iOS5 installed, therefore Find My iPhone can be installed. That will allow you to wipe the iPod should it get stolen.
