Help with AV amp - LX51 vs 1018AH-S

Dear What HiFi

Upgrading my home cinema soon and am keen for your help between two AV amps.

Pretty much decided upon most of the kit; Pioneer KRV 37v and BD 51FD, speakers Mordaunt Short Alumni 5.1 package but wondering between VSX LX51 and the cheaper 1018 AH-S.

They seem very similar with the 1018 being substantially cheaper, have you reviewd the 1018AH-S?

Sorry - I meant have you reviewed the LX51? You have looked at most of the others above it.

I can recommend the LX51 my friend. I used to have the alumni package but I used an Onkyo 605 at the time and they sounded great for the money. I suspect you will be hearing the best your speakers can be. I use the LX51 with KEF3005.se and it sounds great. The iPod input is handy too(the display on the telly is a bit low def but it works well).
