Looking for a new television and don't know where to start. Preferable size is 42-46inch have no idea whether plasma or LCD is better hopefully with an HD decoder on board. Panasonic or Samsung are the preferences but to be honest I haven't got that much of a clue. With a budget of £1500 am I being realistic. Any assistance would be gratefully received.

the panasonic 42v20 at around £1250 would be a great choice...
from samsung ? well , how about a 46c7500 lcd ? said to be a very good tv , and believe it or not , its full 3d too , you just need to buy the glasses ..
the tv is around £1250 also , a bargain i think , said by many to be as good as the award winning sony 46ex503 , the same price , but with 3d
edit ...£1172 here .. and i think you can claim one free pair of 3d glasses from samsungs website too

Watch through sky+ only sit about 3metres away blu ray next on the list but kids mean that these things take time
