I hope someone here can help.

I recently bought the above and hooked everything up. Sounds great, especially when playing movies and games through the PS3, very happy.

However when I watch TV through the in-built tuner which is connected via optical to the amp, the sub doesn't turn itself on. I have done the auto-calibration, that did not help; I have tried setting the speakers to small on the amp settings; I have changed the speakers crossover in the amp up to 140kHz, either of which solved the problem. Annoyingly the amp display says it's out-putting 2.1 but the red standby light on the back of the sub remains on. The blue 'active' light only comes on when the PS3 is the source.

Anyone else had experience of this? or further ideas, all appreciated, or indeed anyone know what's going on? I would love to get this sorted out, when the sub does turn on with tv as source, which is very rarely, it sounds great.

My only guess is, because the TV will be outputting a stereo signal, the sub isn't coming on as it's not receiving a signal from the amp. Not sure why the amp is saying it's outputting 2.1, but it's all I can think of.

What mode is the amp in (e.g. Dolby Pro Logic, Stereo, Pure etc.)?
