I've read a few of your posts regarding the Panasonic TX-37LZD800. Do you own one?

A couple of questions for you if you do:

1) Did you have any joy with Panasonic and your backlight bleed issues?

2) When you unpacked your panel, did it have any stickers on the case (1080p, 24fps, 100hz, etc)?

Thanks.

I did own one, but it had back bleed issues, so I sent it back to the shop. I replaced it with the TH37PX80 and a DMP BD30 Bluray player for the same price. It was a really good move. As well as the back bleed issues, I found the colours on the TX-37LZD800 somewhat unatural, almost too vibrant. The blacks were not as good as I had hoped for. Also the with an SD feed, the picture was not great. On a positive note for the TX-37LZD800, the sound was really good.

The TH37PX80 is an amazing set, great SD picture, natural coulours, and great blacks. There is a slight noticible difference in HD quality, the TH37PX80 not being quite as sharp (to my eyes). But there is not much in it and if you take into account all the positives (£500 (TH37PX80) vs £850 (TX-37LZD800)online)it has to be a winner.

In answer to your other question, from my recolection it did have a sticker on the panel for Viera, 1080p, 24p and 100hz.

Hope this helps

Chris
