Far from it krazy. He would buy very expensive cables to match. The whole point is making a Statement, it's no longer about the music.
While it may sometimes be true to generalise that wealthy people don't know how to enjoy music but only buy something to impress his guests (a theory which can be supported by the many elderly Ferrari owners who don't know how to drive), I dare say that if any of us (foo fighters included) are ever lucky enough to own a cost is no object system, we wouldn't be using stock cables, stock cords, stock feet and stock jumpers with it.
In fact, one could argue that the guy with the costly system cares even more about his music and demonstrates that by his willingness to spend more on his system than the house the system is placed in. I've encountered many examples of this. And unlike a flashy car, a hifi system is very much a private enjoyment toy rather than a show off tool.
