Help me Choose an Amp Please

I am looking for an amp. I just got new Sennheiser headphones and though I enjoy classical music (and classic rock) on headphones I miss the big sound filling the room. I have decent enough Samsung Speakers from a home cinema system not in use and I now want a good amp for under 500 euro / I suppose 450 Sterling or so.

I don't know the first thing about amps but I know I want a remote control and a huge selection of inputs is not necessary. I notice some have this facility.

A side question, do all amps in the mid hundred price range have the larger headphone socket? Cos my adaptor for the headphones to make them small is big and annoying.

Hi - Not sure what part of the country you are in - but there is likely to be a hi-fi shop near you.........

Best thing is to go in and speak to them - arrange a Demo with your speakers.

Not to put a damper on it AND I've not heard your speakers personally, but I would be surprised if they do justice to an amp in that range ....... so perhaps see what the shop can do for amp and speakers together ..... or see what speakers you like with your £450 amp and start saving up again!
