Hey everyone,

I'm looking into getting in-line attenuators. On the Goldenjacks site, it chucks out a few figures to tell if you need the attenuators and, if you do, what type:

The standard -10dB (Decibel) 'Goldenjacks' suit amplifier sensitivities of between 150 and 400 millivolts. For amplifier sensitivity of 75 to 125 millivolts, -14dB is recommended. For amplifiers of sensitivity between 500 and 600 millivolts, Goldenjacks are not required.

So, I had a look on the internet for my amps sensitivity. I found this:

Sensitivity (reference 1W output) - MM: 0.3mV, MC: 0.02mV, Line: 50mV.

Very low figures. Is this because of the 'Reference Output' shown of 1w?

Can anyone help me with the sensitivity of the Cyrus, as would relate to the Goldenjacks figures?

Thanks all.

Found this on Russ Andrews. Not sure if it's any help or not.

Cheers, Chris.

I'm gonna need the 14db one, I think.

You use the Rothwell's don't you? They don't rob any of the detail, do they?

By the way, Third listen of 'Blackwater Park'. It's great. 'Bleak' and 'The funeral portrait' are superb.

PJPro:These attentuators seem quite expensive for what they are, don't they?

The Goldjack attenuators arent too bad, at £24. I think the Russ Andrews ones are much more expensive.
