Hello All,

I currently have a Pioneer HTP 071 and looking to sell and buy a better one.

My criterias are :

1. Need a Mini Hi Fi which can hopefully play a DVD

2. To be bluetooth enabled to play songs from my phone

3. A nice receiver with wireless 5.1 speakers as the house I am moving to is not feasible to have wires

4. A small turntable to play vinyls

5. Budget : £750

Any advise please.

Thanks.

Depending what outputs your TV has you could look at Sonos PlayBar or PlayBase to get you started. Both offer great sound, can be added to in the future with Sonos Play powered speakers and a powered sub as and when funds become available. If you are serious about having a good AV/Hifi experience then I wouldn’t buy a complete system on your budget because you will almost certainly be disappointed.

yeah, sonos is your best bet

it’s wireless, however could be over the budget if buying new but you can start with mentioned playbase and add more spekers when funds allows; with sonos you don’t need av receiver

you can get new dvd player for around £30 and connect to your tv

do you have vinyl collection?

Gasolin, Have you actually heard the system separates you are proposing, all working in harmony together? Or are you simply adding up the value of a series of well reviewed boxes which adds up to the OP’s budget?

If the speakers are wireless, they must be self powered. They each will need a power lead and access to the mains.

Not sure how that will go with the need for no wires?

i have or had most of the speakers (mission lx-2,q acoustics 2010i,3020i) and i own the nad mini dvd system and a nad 3020i

My experience is that nad goes well with q acoustics

Her you go http://www.klipsch.com/products/r-15pm-turntable-pack you just have to buy a dvd player

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Klipsch-R-15PM-Powered-Monitor-Black/dp/B01A7J534G

Unless max is one power cord

Personally i won't suggest any 5.1 since you get better sound from a stereo setup

Arcam movie Solo 5.1 £1000

(Covers 1-2 and some of 3)

2nd Hand TT Depends on how big your collection is?? but say £100-150

(covers 4)

As for the 5.1 wireless speakers? Pass

Over budget, but food for thought!

Yeah I don't know about this either, I don't think he/she has explained this well.

I think they want a normal amp but wireless speakers only?

Hopefully they will post back, sounds a instresting system!!
