Another taxi off the headphone rank. Comfort is cited as a slight downside in a couple of places, but sonically they can potentially appeal to those seeking transparency. No fancy gizmos; all about the sound.

Sounds like they represent classic German function over form. There's good tech and innovation in here, but zero frills.

Not cheap at £599, but these are certainly of interest to me.

I personally can't stand the clinical and binary nature of the way that site assesses things. People need to be able to judge things for themselves, but minions of that site hide behind charts.

ASR if it measures good it is good , if if measures bad probably sounds excellent
Original Heddphones very big , very heavy , very uncomfortable But world class sound almost bought a pair myself

If it measures bad but sounds good, you've measured the wrong thing.”

ASR gives you another perspective other than a subjective one, however, I keep asking myself the same question.

  • I don't understand the correlation between nice graphs and sound quality?
  • Why does it need to be perfect to deliver the 'correct' sound?
  • Is it possible to capture sound quality on graphs or are we looking at it the wrong way?
It's Ok you can call me an ignoramus 😀
