Heck its gone again !!

Hi All, I have a Cyrus 3 amp with PSX-R. Had it for a good while and seviced 24 months ago by Cyrus and 8 months ago had to have some other fixes for it. I was advised this is the end for it, if it goes again.........Yep, right channel not working on any outputs. So, its either one more fix, cheaply, or what would be a replacement ?

Speakers are P4, Marantz CD63 SE. Room size 12x12, solid floor. Listen to the usual P Collins Rob Williams Eagles Kylie etc

What route would you suggest

If you like the Cyrus 3, but don't want to risk it again, Bartlett's Hi Fi in London had a Cyrus Straight Line amp for £150 a few weeks ago.

Worth considering as it's from the same era, will take your power amp as is, and is considered by some as being a better amp against the 3 with a simpler internal design, no additional circuitry for remote controls, etc.

The Cyrus two (Last model, with flip switch on/off) was actually sonically superior to the Cyrus 3, so id say get one of those with a PSX. Definitely with a PSX. It adds 20 watts per channel and makes a hell of a lot of difference. The 2 on it's own is weedy.

I had them up until a year ago and thought they were great. Brilliant detail and clarity, if a little bass light.
