Hi, One of the greatest crime thrillers of all time (IMHO) will finally be released on Blu-ray this week.Looking foward to it. It'll make a great christmas day movie to watch as well.

My order from Play.com arrived on Monday. The newborn hasn't given me the opportunity to watch it in full yet, but I have previewed a few choice scenes. All I can say is it is fantastic. Soundelux's award winning sound effects editing and mixing on show in beautiful form.

i borrowed these observations from others, just to wet your appetites.... "things i learned from watching Heat", i truly hope after the excruciating wait for Heat to appear on Bluray it's not a dissappointment......
1) You can get killed walking your doggie. 2) You can sleep with Vince's wife, but you cannot watch his portable TV. 3) Don't say "who?" to Vince. He is not an owl. 4) If you register at the Marquis as Jamison, do not expect a peaceful night. 5) Stay away from Waingro at all costs 6) Deadly to visit vacant drive ins at noon 7) Hockey goalie masks are good disguises to rob armoured trucks 8) Waingro can make a lot of moves. 9) A wave of the hand by Charlene means, "Get the hell out. The cops are here." 10) Neil is never going back 11) Vince loves to chew gum 12) Hugh Benny returned to being a good citizen 13) Don't watch a hockey game alone at home if Neil is looking for you. 14) Nate says, "Its a free world, brother." 15) You know your time is short when Waingro says the Grim Reaper has come a calling. 16) Neil and his crew don't like cash. Only bearer bonds. 17) Nate is cool! 18) Breedan should have kept his job as a short order cook. 19) Dominik deserves a chance to choose his life. 20) Just because you want to hold hands with another man on a dark airport runway approach, doesn't mean your gay 21) Neil prefers to keep the car running when heading out for a quick kill. 22) If you are in a bank while it's getting robbed, remember, the federal government insures your deposits. 23) If you are robbing a sort of warehouse, a "CLANK" noise means the LAPD is watching
