Headphones (for a particularly large head!) to replace ATH-SJ33s

Hey,

Right, my headphones have broken, for a second time. My experience with Audio Technica is that the sound is amazing but there is no longevity in their products, so I need a new pair, and I'm willing to spend more this time. I would place my budget at around £90-100.

I do have a big head - there's no escaping it, so that is unfortunately a big consideration! I would like clear his and mids, but at the same time, so have a bit of punch in the bass department as I mainly listen to trance.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Matt.

I couldn't think of anything suitable (rugged, detachable cable) right off, but here's a link to DJ and similar headphones:

My suggestion is to ignore the Shures, since they are brighter and thinner than your AT. Probably the best bet is to get the Senn HD-25, even if it costs more.

Hey Matt. I have been searching for headphones myself and I found some really good headphones. Guess you should check these too. If you could exceed your budget a bit more I'm sure you could find more better headphones and I guess your big head would not be a problem at all. Hope you find the right headphone soon.

That's a really nice store - be sure to check out the link to Sol's Poetry.

Thank you for the links guys. I think you're both correct, in that I should probably stretch my wallet that little bit more to get some quality. Those Sennheiser ones look pretty good and aren't too much above my budget either, so perhaps after the next payday I could grab those! :)

Hopefully they'll fit because as I say, I do have a huge head. I'm the reason 'one size fits all' is now often 'one size fits most'!
