Hi all, I’ve got a question about this option on various pieces of kit (Blu-ray, projector, Xbox 360), if I select expanded it seems to give a brighter picture and which is a little washed out, is this correct ? what is the benefit of this option ?

I always use expanded on my xbox 360, makes games look a lil more clearer and colourful. Games should be kinda bright not dull.

I take it as there has been over 100 views no one else has any input on this.

ianandyr put a link in a posting on the Home Cinema forum headed "Optimising Your PS3 For Blu-ray", the link is to the IGN website.

The following page suggests that HDMI Full Range = Limited gives subtler, more natural colours: http://uk.gear.ign.com/articles/938/938051p3.html
