I currently have a Cyrus AV Master 8 processor, its fantastic and I'm more then happy with it. I am looking to upgrade to a HDMI processor specifically with the new formats DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD. Can anybody please suggest a processor for it.

Also, I assume I'll need a 3 channel amp to run the front 3 channels. Please suggest that also, I was looking at a Myryad for this.

Thanks

What video disc spinner have you got? Remember that all profile 1.1 and above Blu-ray players have to be able to decode the audio in the player and output as LPCM over HDMI, as well as being able to bitstream the undecoded signal. So, if you don't have one yet, I'd advise waiting until there are more profile 1.1/2.0 players on the market, then all you really need is a processor that will accept the LPCM over HDMI and deal with it accordingly. Why pay for the processing twice? The Audiolab 8000AP would suit this scenario perfectly, and give you extremely good stereo performance as well.

i have a sony bdp-s300. i heard that the players would be sending the undecoded signal to the amps which means that one only needs a processor with LPCM?
