Hi all im buying a media steaming device and was wondering will the hdmi connection to my onkyo unit be good enough or would a dedicated DAC from the media steamer be better, the media steaming device im going to be using is the popcorn hour a200. all my music is stored on a nas server at at full cd quality.

I have the A-200 and if you have half decent stereo speakers and/or stereo amp or at least very good AV receiver, get a DAC. The sound I'm getting is wonderful and is a lot better than through my receiver.
